Your Contemporary Dance Teacher
Lucas Chery is a certified 200-hour Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga teacher, with a Master’s degree in Dance and Performance and a Bachelor's degree in Contemporary Dance. Originally from France, Lucas has worked extensively in the UK as both a performer and educator, where he honed a multidisciplinary approach to movement rooted in functionality and artistic exploration.
His dance practice is informed by various contemporary styles and emphasizes a gentle, inclusive, and pleasure-based approach to movement. Lucas is passionate about creating accessible, transformative experiences, where every body — regardless of training or ability — can engage meaningfully with dance.
Lucas integrates his yoga background into his dance teaching, cultivating classes that are grounding, expressive, and responsive to the needs of each individual.

No. These classes are open-level and accessible to beginners. Lucas offers guidance and modifications to meet each student where they are.

Comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. We usually dance barefoot. No other materials are needed.

Both. The class includes short sequences to build coordination and musicality, but a large part focuses on improvisation and reconnecting with your body through sensation and creativity.

You can cancel up to 4 hours before the class starts and receive your credit back. If you cancel with less than 4 hours' notice, the credit is lost. Refunds are not provided.
